' Page 1 Board of Selectmen Minutes-Executive Session June 13, 1994 Present: Selectman Mills, Selectman Costa, Select=Caffyn, Selectman Vaccaro Executive Secretary Robert Wxritenour Guests: Police Chief Frye Meeting Called to Order by Chat nan hills at 6:00 p.m. Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to enter into Executive Session at this time for the purpose of discussing ton-Union Negotiations. The Board will resume in open Session at approximately 6:30 p.m. Notion seconded by Selectman Vaccaro. VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. Selectman Costa absent. Discussion relative to Ikon-Union Negotiations: Police Chief Frye was present to discuss his retirement benefit packages with the Board. It was noted that Town Counsel prepared a tentative contractual agreement for the Boards consideration. *It is the consensus of the Board to present a retirement package to Chief Frye consisting of; $15,OOQ lump sum pension and$13,000 buy back of sick clays. Total sura; $28,000. As agreed upon by Chief Frye, a letter of retirement will be subntted to the Board in writing to formalize his ternination of employment on January 3, 1995. Chief Frye indicated that he will announce his retirement date to his staff on Wednesday. A public announcement will be made at the next meeting of the Board of Selectmen. *with reference to the tentative contractual agreement,it is the consensus of the Board to delete the provision; application for retirement. 6:25 p.m. Selectman Costa present. Motion made by Selectman Vaccaro to enter into agreement with Curtis Frye for a retirement severance contract on this date as amended. Motion seconded by Selectman Costa. VOTE: Unanimous. -o. Moll Call vote: George, yes Nancy, Yes Jim, yes Judy, Yes Motion. made by Selectman Vaccaro to adjourn at 6:39 p.m. The Board will eater into open Session at this time.
