4 <br /> Page 2 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> June 13, 1994 <br /> Present: Selectman Ntills, Selec an Costa, Selectman Caffyn, Selectman Vaccaro <br /> Executive Secretary Robert whritenour <br /> Guests: Gus Frederick, Al Polsi, Paul Ott, Brad Caffyn,Deirdre Greelish, <br /> Maureen Paxton,Orin Evans <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Ch ` fills at 6:30 p.m. <br /> APPROVAL OF S <br /> Monday, May 23, 1994: <br /> Selectman Caffyn asked that the minutes be further revised to reflect <br /> on page nine under; Interaction with Department Heads. <br /> *Approval of Minutes placed on hold at this time. <br /> JR/SR HIGH SCHOOL <br /> Discussion of Health Clinic Space for High School Project: <br /> Selectman Caffyn opened the discussion relative to the concept of <br /> establishing a Health Clinic in the new high school facility. A Health Clinic <br /> would provide our community with a much needed resource in health and <br /> human service needs indicated Selectman Caffyn. <br /> A sub-committee of the Human Services Strategy Committee <br /> developed this concept for the Board's consideration. The Superintendentf s <br /> Office, Board of Health and Leisure Services Department are also reviewing <br /> this proposal noted Selectman Caffyn. Letters of support were submitted <br /> for the Board's review, <br /> With the Board's approval,the concept will be presented to the Jr Sr High <br /> School Building Committee for consideration to dedicate space in the high <br /> school facility indicated Selectman Caffyn. The Department of Public <br /> Health will be contacted with regards to funding opportunities. <br /> Grace Swierk, general manager of M shpee Village presented data to <br /> support the need for this type of facility. It was noted that needs <br /> assessment data will be available in early September for further review. <br /> Mr. Frederick noted that funding resources are currently under review <br /> for the proposed health Clinic facility. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Costa to approve the concept of <br /> the Health Clinic as outlined. Motion ion seconded by Selectman <br /> Caffyn. VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br />
