JR/SR HIGH SCHOOL Discussion of Health Clinic Space for High School Project: Selectman Caffyn opened the discussion relative to the concept of establishing a Health Clinic in the new high school facility. A Health Clinic would provide our community with a much needed resource in health and human service needs indicated Selectman Caffyn. A sub-committee of the Human Services Strategy Committee developed this concept for the Board's consideration. The Superintendentf s Office, Board of Health and Leisure Services Department are also reviewing this proposal noted Selectman Caffyn. Letters of support were submitted for the Board's review, With the Board's approval,the concept will be presented to the Jr Sr High School Building Committee for consideration to dedicate space in the high school facility indicated Selectman Caffyn. The Department of Public Health will be contacted with regards to funding opportunities. Grace Swierk, general manager of M shpee Village presented data to support the need for this type of facility. It was noted that needs assessment data will be available in early September for further review. Mr. Frederick noted that funding resources are currently under review for the proposed health Clinic facility. Motion made by Selectman Costa to approve the concept of the Health Clinic as outlined. Motion ion seconded by Selectman Caffyn. VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0.
