Page 11 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 11, 1994 <br /> Memo from Building Inspector: <br /> Mr.Hauck read aloud his memo of June 15, 1994. <br /> As indicated by Mr.Hauck,the land abutting Wading Place Road has <br /> been completely denuded of all trees. <br /> Selectman Caffyn expressed concern to this type of activity and the public <br /> safety issue related to this concern. Selectman Caffyn submitted a memo <br /> to Mr. Hauck dated June 24, 1994 regarding the building permit of Mr. <br /> Gabriel located on Map 111,Parcel 24. <br /> Conservation Commission member, Noni Ferriday indicated that the <br /> Conservation Commission is aware of this concern. The applicant has not <br /> followed the Order of Conditions as set forth to re-plant and re-vegetate. <br /> Selectman Mills recommended to review the regulations relative to the <br /> Ground Water Protection District and regulations that control the clearing <br /> of lots. <br /> Mr. Hauck indicated that the application has been forwarded to the <br /> Board of Appeals for review. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Appointment of Special Police Officers: <br /> Communication was received from the Personnel Board regarding the <br /> appointment of Special Police Officers. The Personnel Board concurs <br /> with Chief Frye's recommendation to appoint the candidates as listed <br /> pending psychological testing and pre-employment physicals. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Vaccaro to accept the <br /> recommendation of the Chief of Police and appoint; <br /> William Kelleher Robert Palermo <br /> Sean Sullivan Charles Morse <br /> Holly LeClerc Robert Costa, Jr. <br /> as Special Police Officers pending psychological testing and <br /> pre-employment physicals. Motion seconded by Selectman <br /> Caffyn. VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> William Kelleher, appointed Special Police Officer was present to meet <br /> the Board of Selectmen and Executive Secretary. *Consensus of Board <br /> to meet above Special Police Officers. <br /> In other business, *Selectman Caffyn recommended to establish a list of <br /> Mashpee residents for future appointments.
