Page Board of Selectmen Minutes September 13, 1994 Town Planner re: Economic Development Local Partnership Grant; The Economic Development Committee is M" unanimous support of the Town's participation in the EOCD Local Partnership Program and the Town's efforts to develop an Economic Development Strategic Plan with funding assistance indicated lir. Fudala. Mr. whritenour,Executive Secretary indicated that the project proposal is an element of the Small Cities Grant Application. The Local Partnership Grant will enable the community to develop strategic plan to aid Economic Development efforts. Strategic action steps, professionally based willgive the Economic Development Committee a basis to move forward with the action statement needed to improve our economy and aid our low to moderate income residents indicated Mr. whritenour. It was noted that if the grant if attained, the project is anticipated to begin in January with completion in June of 1995. Mashpee resident,John Ferriday expressed interest in high tech communication network possibilities for Ilashpee. Being no further comment, Selectman Mills closed the Public Hearing t 9: o p.m. Motion made by Selectman Gaff n to support the development of an Economic Development Strategic Plan for the Town, with assistance of the EOCD Local Partnership Planning Grant Program, and for the goals of the project. on behalf f the Board of Selectmen, the Chairman is authorized to execute the Local Partnership Planning Grant application. Motion seconded by Selectman Vaccaro. VOTE: Unanimous. -o. It was noted that Mr. Pudala will submit letters of support from the planning'board and Economic Development Committee with the grant application.
