It <br /> was noted that the existing buffer consists of evergreen pine trees. <br /> WithMr.regards to signage, r. Storrs indicated that the proposed sign will not be offensive. <br /> i <br /> This s a commercial zoned property and he does not want to limit his tenants. <br /> Mr. Rymsha, owner of the new building indicated that he will make every effort to have <br /> deliveries to the rear of the building. It is the most logical place for deliveries noted Mr. <br /> Storrs. <br /> Selectman Ca.ffyn asked of the traffic flow. IIIc. Storrs indicated that the primary entrance <br /> is Great Deck North to the loading dock. It was noted that some delivery trucks enter <br /> through the main entrance. <br /> { It is intriguing to remember that we were mandated by the Cape Cod Commission and <br /> Planning Board to install a bikeway/sidewalk in the area of the school that is presently tied <br /> in with the North Market Street facility indicated Mr. Rent. It was noted that the liquor <br /> store proposal was discussed with the Planning Board throughout the process. <br /> School Committee member, Steve Paxton indicated that a liquor store in North Market <br /> Street sends a mixed message to the children enrolled in the school system. Children are <br /> greatly controlled by their environment indicated Mr. Paxton. Is this something we need in <br /> our town'? <br /> Deirdre Greelish expressed concern to the impact of a mega liquor store in the community. <br /> A liquor store across from a super Stop & Shop store sends a bad message. It is a bad <br /> image to buy groceries and buy liquor in the same area indicated Ms. Greelish. <br /> Ms. Greelish also related concerns to Davy's Docker and the recent approval to play <br /> recorded music at the establishment. <br /> Ms. Perry indicated that the Board granted two liquor licenses last Monday night. She <br /> recommended to remove the DARE sign. This is a booze community stated Ms.Perry. <br /> Betsy Golub spoke in favor of the liquor store proposal in forth Market Street. I would <br /> feel comfortable to go to a grocery store, liquor store and bank where I could walk to and <br /> spend ray money in Mashpee indicated IVIS, Golub, She noted that this is not a new <br /> license, but a transfer of license. <br /> Ibis. Harsch requested comment from the Board Members regarding the benefit of a liquor <br /> store in Mashpee. <br /> Selectman Vaccaro indicated that any decision the Board of Selectmen make is not made in <br /> a vacuum. 'Dere are a number of reasons to support the proposal. This is a transfer from <br /> one location to another. It is not a new license indicated Selectman Vaccaro, <br />
