LE
education leads to: less retention issues and better academic
achievement. This article was distributed to the staff for review and
discussion.
Liz Wilber was asked about the "Kids Clothes Closet" project. Liz has not worked
on this project. She will talk to Patricia Nye about ideas for the storage and retrieval
of clothing. Liz will get back to School Council ASAP.
Barbara Cotton said that ticket sales for the Monte Carlo night this Saturday were
just fair. She asked Ms. Zaeske about things to auction such as "lunch with the
principal.". This idea was new to Ms. Zaeske. She will think about it and discuss it
with Mrs. Cotton at a later date.
Ms. Zaeske gave us a list of potential changes to the KCC Handbook most of the
changes are clerical corrections such as dates, teacher's rooms, etc. Ms. Zaeske
asked that all School Council members go over the changes and get back to her as
soon as possible with any questions, comments or suggestions.
A question was asked about "class lists" (phone numbers and mailing addresses for
students) that have been sent out in the past by either the PTO or the volunteer
office. It was suggested that this is an issue that should be addressed in a staff
meeting. 41
Adjourn at 5:OOPM.
Next Meeting— Tuesday April 28, 2009
