Also Attending : see attached sign in sheet Meeting convened at 7 : 35 When the meeting began there was no quorum of the c0ornml ttee. M r. lei niz-io explained this would be an informational session with the Committee . Steve Gree lish joined ,the meeting at 7 : 45 providing a quorum. Chairman Dinizio explained to the group the. two s-iies undei".% review and explained the selection proc-e8s . Thi 8 Committee will make a recommendation to the Sele ctmen on what they feel -is the best site. for the 'Lown as a wholek Next Tuesday , this Committee will vote on their recommendation and the next Monday the Selectmen will meet -to formulate the warrant for town meeting . The Committee has held a meeting with the PTO and an open 'Forum at the Senior Center . Mr , Diniz10 called the 'tribal counf."i "I and a ffered an invitation for this Committee to meet with thereP Chairman Dinizio opened the meeting to questions . Vernon Lopez , Meetinghouse Road , asked where the school will be built (on Center site) and how many acres are lnvolved-? The Committee reviewed the site maps with the group and rev-jewed the siting options . In one option the h-Igh school will be closer to town hall with access -from Rte 1 ,30 opposite So. Sandwich Rd . , resery-Ing the lower portion of property for a future elementary school Mr , D-injz-io explaireed both sites were chosen because they can handle the hisc gh hool and a future elementary school . .Jayne Hendricks , s-�..ated she lives an South Sandwich Rd . and cars race down that road now , what will 'it be like with teenagers in Gars ,,, It -is also a had irite r,-::3ecticin with Rte 130 ,, Mr ,, Lopez asked "it Noisy Hole Rd . will be developed out to Rte 28 . ? That may happen In the future , but it is well beyond the purview of this Committee and 'it will riot be done a8 part of -this high school . Mr . Jack McGee stated the bulk of the traffic will be on Rte '130 ) are there any improvements planned? Mr ,. D'inizio exp'la.1ned the traffic engineer reviewed this . Improvements will be make -in conjunction with the proposed COSTCO development in Sandwich . There w! 11 be no way to cut across the proper ty to Meetinghouse Rd . Tom Fudala added the high school I will not generate enough traffic to create a traffic problem. 1
