MA HPEE HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING COMMITTEE <br /> JULY 1 1993 <br /> MA HPEE TOWN HALL.. <br /> Present: Raul Griff i n , Merry Sue Ah I g re n , Dater Din! z i o, Linda <br /> Murtha, Bill Jones , Steve Greelish , Janice Mills, Tori Fudala, Bob <br /> wh r i t nou r, Executive Secr ary , Selectmen Nancy Caffyn <br /> Absent.- Joe R l i o, Bill Martiros , Bob Mills <br /> Meeting called to order by Chairman Rini io at 4: 12 p.mw <br /> MINUTE <br /> Paul Griffin made motion to accept the minutes of June 29 , 1993 <br /> as amended , Bill Jones seconded the motion . All Board members <br /> were in favor 6-0, <br /> UPDATE ON APPRAISERS <br /> Chairman D i n i z i o explained that Bob Mills, subcommittee chairman <br /> P working on this but is not present at this meeting to give an <br /> update. Two firms have submitted a joint proposal . <br /> OPENING OF DRA BID FOR SITE SELECTION STUDY <br /> Chairman D i n i i o told the Committee he invited Eu i <br /> Secretary Bob wh r i tenou r for the hid opening. The Committee <br /> discussed wpith him the process for moving forward. He explained <br /> the Board of Selectmen must award the contract and a letter of <br /> intent shou l d core from the Selectmen. This omm i tt e must <br /> arrange, as soon as possible, a meeting with the Selectmen to <br /> give them the results of the interviews , a k them to hack up this <br /> Committee's recommendation and then go forward with letter o <br /> intent and a contract. This is the strategy he recommends. <br /> Selectmen Caffyn explained they are holding a meeting for <br /> interviews on Thursday (July 8th) from 5-7 : 30 but could possibly <br /> meet with thi's thisCommittee at 4.- 30 . Bob wh r i tnou r quickly pasted <br /> the 4: 30 maedi n between the Selectmen and this omm i ties. <br /> The Selectmen ' s next regularl y scheduled meeting is Monday <br /> evening and that will be a fall hack position if they are unable <br /> to get the Selectmen together at 4: 30 on Thursday , July 8th <br /> Ms . Caffyn did not feel the Selectmen needed to meet the <br /> recommended firm, IRA, but would like a synopsisof how they were <br /> chosen . The Committee will also add rens the many reasons why <br /> they chose the Firm they did. <br /> -y <br /> Mr , Fudala raised the question of whether this Committee can open <br /> the bids before the Selectmen have chosen a firm?
