Paul Griffin made a motion to accept DRA' tenderfir+ on 2 counts its the $48 , 00 bid and the technical presentation on site review and prepare a. recommendation for the Selectmen's meeting on Thursday and the Committee i's in agreement to recommend the Board of Selectmen accept it, The motion was amended to say the Committee recommends the Selectmen accept the DRA tender . . . Bi 1 `1 ,hones moved the motion as amended, Ms , Ahlgren seconded it. All Committee members we r`e in Favor 6-0 ., The Committee discussed with Mr . Francehi the approach this Committee will be taking in developing a design for the high school ; receiving ini~ormation from Le-isure Service Department who is gathering community information , the School Committee has established a parent Committee and the School Department who will give input on academic programs, ath1 tic fields and the Possibility of another school on the same site. The Committee introduced and gave a brief background of themselves to Mr . Fran e h i . It was noted that Mr. Fredericks, L i ure Services Director and D r, D Mou ra, Superintendent of Schools were asked to be prepared to discuss the input they have been gathering by July 1 * The Committee decided to invite them in for the next meeting to begin this discussion . A mean will be sent inviting them to the ,duly 137 1993 meeting at 7 : 30, The Committee abed for a copy of the architect' s meeting notes . They will be sent to the Executive Secretary , The Committee discussed hedu l i n visits to other high schoolls DRA has built. M r s r i f f i"n recommended narrowing down the r i to r i a and the issues Ma hp e will be facing before going . The Committee briefly discussed some criteria they will be looking a.t. The Committee also discussed some of the avenues they have for getting information out to the community and the best ways community members can participate i n the process . NEXT SCHEDULED MEETING IS JULY 13 , 1993 AT 7 : 30 P,Me TOWN HALL Chairman D i n i i o will attend the Selectmen' s meeting on Thursday at 4 : 30 and welcomes an other Committee members who want to attend.
