DRA is not designing the project and they don ' t want to
lock the Town into -a certain scheme but they will show that
different schemes are possible and demonstrate that it will work .
Peter responded that the Committee must determine how much to
budget to acquire the land.
Joe suggested another line item under Acquisition Costs could be
added - North end property cost, South end property cost and
same idea for 151 site.
Ms . DRA can give a similar presentation to Town Meeting
as they did to this Committee to show the property is flexible
and the high school can happen in different ways .
Mr. France schi mentioned if the town purchases less than the full
site it may cut down on the options, the flexibility,
Mr . Griffin mentioned the RFP is to evaluate only 2 sites , does
it allow them to evaluate 4 proposals? That is asking them to do
a lot more work. Mr . D i n i z i o responded it is information thi's
Committee needs to have. DRA has already started the ground work
on that.
BLISSing costs should be added to the matrix.
The Committee reviewed again the 4 proposed site plans so they
can beg-in to envision how to fill the matrix .
A. 151 Site- - it showed the area for a sewage treatment plant
and area for a future elementary school . There is a built in
buffer along the river and they recommend adding to it. The
J1 IF
ballfields are "o verlay fields . It has minimal connection with
the future elementary school and none with the proposed
performing arts centerR
Access to the performing arts center or to the remaining Fields
2
