MASHPEE HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING COMMITTEE MINUTES <br /> TUESDAY , JUNE 21 1994 <br /> TOWN HALL <br /> Members Present: Peter D i n i z i o, Merry sue Ah 1 ren , Joe Polito, Bill J ones , <br /> Janice Mi 1 ls , Bi l 1 Martiros , Michael Pare , Steve Greet ish , Paul Griffin <br /> Also Present: Ian Aitchison , Ray Bordwell , Ed Frenette , Dan salien , Norris <br /> McLeod , Tori Fudal a, Greg Taylor , Dr . Lincoln DeMoura, Gus Fredricks <br /> MINUTES <br /> Joe Polito said he voted against the motion to put all science labs on the <br /> second floor . <br /> ,doe made a motion to approve the minutes of June 14 , as amended <br /> Merry Sue seconded the motion . A 1 1 members were in favor . ** <br /> REPORT F ROM PROJECT MANAGER <br /> Contracts- Chartwell has signed their contract. Ed Frenette said there i <br /> a very minor change to be rade to their} s . <br /> Site Development- survey is almost complete . They will soon need <br /> permission f o r access to the site, especially the northeast corner . Bob <br /> hri tenour is getting permission from the owners that they are agreeable to <br /> some trees being cut down . <br /> Schedule- SMNIA will provide an updated schedule on July 5th <br /> Budget- Chartwell and Daedalus have reconciled 'their differences on the <br /> preliminary cost model . Daedalus will start their schematic design <br /> estimate . <br /> su bcon su 1 tarp ts- Chartwell has not yet received approval of their <br /> s u bcon su 1 tang from the Town . This work must begin immediately . This i s <br /> also true for SMMA. Approval time from the Town will have to be speeded up <br /> a little i f this project is going to be kept on schedule . <br /> Schematic Cies - SMMA/P&W will present an updated schematic design today . <br /> Perrtfrr���� Ar ----Center- they showed their i te plan in the southwest corner- <br /> OT the site , The committee agreed not to move the location of the school ,, <br /> Meetings- Bob Fournier has meetings on Thursday, June 23 with Police , Fire <br /> acid Building Department , Leisure services and Tribal Counci1 . <br /> Ian , Peter , Bob h r i -tenon r and Tom F uda l a met with representatives of the <br /> Housing Authority arra presented the site p1an . They have no problem with <br /> swapping . They want to know what they are swapping for and what the process <br /> will be . They said they had no use for the back piece of the parte 1 but <br /> they are looking for some land - in exchange from the Town . <br /> Mr . Whr i tenou r has asked Torn Council to look at the process for these <br /> trades . <br /> There wi11 be another meeting with them next Wednesday at 7 : 0o p . m. Steve <br /> Creel ish wi 1 l attend on behalf of the Committee . <br /> Value Management Worksl� �. - Ian tried to schedule it for July 1 1 but the <br /> value management engineer cannot attend 5o it will be July 18th . <br /> Peter asked hoer i t wi l 1 be dee i ded to i nteg rate these su��esti ons <br /> Ian sa ii d recommendations will come back to the committee and the architects <br /> and the committee will decide if they want to choose them, review the pros <br /> and cons of each . It may requ i re changes , some major and some mi nor . <br />
