MASHPEE HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING COMMITTEE MINUTES TUESDAY, APRIL 19 , 1994 Present: Peter D i n i z i o, Bill Jones , Pau 1 Griffin , Merry Sue Ah l 9 ren , Steve ree l i sh , Janice Mills Bill Hauck , Bob Wh r i tenon r , Dr. Lincoln DeMou ra, Robert Fournier Meeting convened at 4 : 06 p .m, MINUTES Merry sue made a motion to accept the minutes of April 1 1 , as amended . Paul seconded the motion . All members were in favor 5- o . DISCUSSION WITH ARCHITECT Robert Fournier was present representing sMMA.. Contract Negotiations : Mr , Fournier explained he spoke with John Giorgio from Kopplemen and Paige . There are some dates related to phases that need to be plugged into the contract , He also has to touch base with Bob whritenour to discuss insurance . Mr . Feurnier said he will mark up a contract for Mr , i o r g i o' s review,, Mr. Fournier explained last week they had a meeting to discuss the educational program, as proposed by Dr . John colabro. They have decided to identify the total spaces and sq footage for each and then deal with the net to gross in the true sense of the word . He brought copies of their preliminary program, They first analyzed the program a.nd thea made some of their own recommendations. They used a net to gross of 1 . 35 , that i s what they will be shooting for He cautioned the committee this is just a start . Dr . DeMou ra may disagree with some of the recommendations. They would like everyone to review it and then they will have further discussions and modify it. The Committee asked about the differences between a 7-12 school and a 9-12 school? what changes need to be made for 7 8th grade? Dr . DeMoura said there are no major changes . Presently they plan 2 houses 7 , 8 , 9 and 10 , 1 1 , 12 . Eventually it could be a different conf i q u rat i on . it needs to be flexible. Mr. Fournier said the first step is to agree on a program. That was started last week with the subcommittee and they will meet again next week . Within 2-3 weeps they Dope to finalize the program. The next step is the schematic design phase. **The subcommittee will meet Monday, April 25th at 4 :00 p.m. (Janice Mills joined the meeting at 4 : 20 p .m. Merry sue noted the school Committee must Grote on this program, that should be added to the list of things needed to be done. 1
