r L MASHPEE HIGH{ SCHOOL BUILDING COMMITTEE MINUTE TUESDAY , MAY 3 , 1994 Towle HALL Members Present: Peter D i n i i o, Janice Mills , Bill Ma rt i ros , Merry Sue Ahlgren , Joe Polito, Steve Greelish Also Present: Dr , John cal abro, Pay Bordwe 1 1-- Perkins & wi 1 1 , -Ed F renetto- MMA , Ian Aitchison - Chartwell , Tom Fudala, Dr . Lincoln DeMoura, Bill Hauck , Gus Fredricks Meeting convened at 4 : 08 MINUTES Merry sue made a motion to accept the minuets of April 19 , 1994 . Joe seconded the motion . All members were in favor 5--o . REPORT FROM PROJECT MA A ER Ian Aitchison prepared a status report for the Committee . Contracts : negotiations are underway with SMMA but nothing has started yet with Chartwell . Ian suggested the Town prepare a letter of intent for both SMMA and Chartwell . Ed Frenette explained the ball is in the court of the Town ' s attorney, It appears the two parties are in agreement, but there is some language SMMA must see. Peter gave Mr . Frenette a letter from Kopleman and Paige to Bob wh r"i tonou r re : SMMA contract. Ed had not yet seen the letter , I t appears opplemen and Paige are looking for a response from the Selectmen . M r * Frenette thin s a good approach would be to get a letter of intent in the mail * Merry sue made a motion the committee request the Selectmen provide a letter of intent to provide professional services to be issued to sMMA and Chartwell , at their next meeting . Joe seconded the motion . All members were in favor -0w ** Program: there was a meeting last week with the programming subcommittee that went well but Ian thinks there are several areas that could be tightened up . There should be more reference to the importance of the community facilities . Schedule: In order to maintain the proposed schedule, the preliminary program needs to be finalized this week . sMMAPw are having a programming meeting next week which Ian will attend . Budget: Ian believes the programming ming must be finalized first. The committee has to give the architect strong guidelines as to what the budget i s . The architects are working on it and have produced some preliminary information . Sash Flow Proje t on : Bob wh r i tsnour has request Ian provide a cash flow projection by May 15 , to assist in the borrowing .
