ASHPEE HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING COMMITTEE MINUTES TUESDAY , AUGUST 27 1994 TOWN HALL Members Present, Peter Bi ni 7io berry sue Ahlgren , Joe Polito , Janice Mills , Paul Griffin , Bill Mart i ros , Steve Gree l i sh Also Present: Tony Esteves , Ian Aitchison, Dr . Del ou ra, Ray Bordwe l 1 , Ed Frenette , Bob Fournier , Dan solien Meeting convened at 3 : 35 P .M. CORRESPONDENCE -- l t r from SMMA re : site and building model estimate $9 , 000 total . Paul and ,doe agreed it is well worth it . It gives you a whole different i ew of the �- SWA response to design questions form the furniture subcommittee . �- Bid from Tavares Design to study the impact of making the high school the central kitchen for the school s y,5tem. Paul made a motion to accept the $700 . 00 bid from Tavares Design to study the impact of making one central kitchen at the high school for the I ashpee school system and authorize SMMA to, enter intro a. contract for these services . Joe seconded the motion Paul explained Canteen ( food service contractor) says it will save the town some operating expense . we have to see the impact to the High school , All members were in favor** The Committee will send SMMA a letter requesting they retain these services from Tavares . -- I t r to D r . They estimate it to cost about $1 , 350 ,000 as shown is spec A and $1 , 450 , 000 as shown in spec B. It will also add abort $10 , 000 to the treatment plant . Paul made a. motion to table this discussion for about a month ., Merry sue seconded the motion . ** Committee plans to put this on the Oct . 'town meeting Merry sue asked �-� the � warrant's Peter suggested the Com mi ttee wait until the spring town meeting when the bids have cone in and all the facts will be known .
