Greg wants <br /> another $6 , 000 for a traffic study . why get someone else on board when DFA <br /> hired someone to do a study , BMMA has a consultants to review the study , we <br /> don ' t need a third party . <br /> Paul made a motion the Committee send a letter authorizing SMMA to <br /> ini ti ate traffic information required by DPW Director Greg Taylor. <br /> Merry Sue seconded the motion . All members were in favor . ** <br /> Paul said a lot of the data SMMA needs is in the DPA report. <br /> Peter said Greg Taylor has Chapter 90 funds to use at the town ' s discretion <br /> for road improvements but he wants the Scheel to spend some of the i r money . <br /> Bill Martiros thinks the town should get some money from the performing <br /> arts center and some from Southport .- <br /> Paul <br /> outhport .Paul explained Southport is required to put in a light, which kicks in at a <br /> certain number of units (about 500) . They could be assessed the cost of <br /> that light when they build unit 500 or we could approach them with the <br /> potential a.l for a deal now , paying 1 /3 of the cost of the `k i ght . Study it further . <br /> Ian noted that approach was taken in Nantucket and it looks good ,, <br /> 02-1 - gym frame , It adds $40 , 000 but looks better . NO* <br /> 02- - classroom wing roof framing, Add 50 DDD . NO* <br /> 02- - Classroom wing wall and floor structural support. Joe and Paul <br /> don ' t agree with the suggested change . There are a lot of disadvantages . <br /> Makes the building inflexible . You can get the 8avings in ether areas . <br /> Peter asked if the (G & P) are leading us down the road to a lot of gypsum <br /> wall board? <br /> Paul said no. This is just a structural decision . <br /> Tony E teves explained it i's now speced as steel frame with brick and <br /> b 1 using block f or backs up and support . <br /> Paul said SNIMA told him to meet the earthquake requirements the classroom <br /> walls have to be b l o k- to meet the code . <br /> 2 <br />
