HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES TUESDAY, OCTOBER 18, 1994 TOWN HALL Members Present: Joe Polito, Paul Griffin, Steve Greelish, Peter D i n i z i o, Merry Sue Ah 1 ren, Janice Mills, Bill Ma rt i ros Also so Present; Greg Taylor,or, Bill Hauch, Tori Fudal a, Gus Fredricks, Bob Fournier, Tom Wren , Bob wh r i tenou r, Bill Cavanaugh, Dr, DeMou ra Meeting convened at 4: 10 p.m. Treasurer asked the Committee Anne Shaws Town x ttee for an updated cash flow scheduled. She must know, as soon as possible, when she has to borrow again., Tom Wren will forward it to her by the end of the month. MINUTES Merry Sue made a motion to approve the minutes of October 5 . 19946 Paul seconded the motion. Mr. Sohn Pel 1 ��r�n was � i o resent to discuss with the Committee concerns he has about traffic on Rte 151 . Traffic is -very heavy and fast on that road now. ttee propose to do with that road . After etting out from the side streets is a problem. what does the Committee s � the school is built and the lights are in it will be to late for his input. Peter explained 1 led the Committee i doing a traffic stud R The previous architectural firm also did a traffic sturdy for the site selection p rooess w This committee �e working with Greg Taylor, DPW Director, SMMA is retaining a consultant to do a traffic study. Mr. Pelli rino said he is looking for the speed limit to be cut downd Peter said that is an issue for Greg Taylor, This Committee has no jurisdiction. ' red said preventing accidents on the road are an enforcement issue. The will hel mitigate that somewhat. Lowering the speed 1 `imit does not signal p slow down the traffic, enforcement does* Mr, Pe l l i r i no had concerns about the line of site and clearing on the corner of O 1 d Barnstable Road Peter explained he should talk to the DPW Director about any current concerns he has about the road . If It is not rectified he can go to the Board of Selectmen. He asked M r. Pe l l i g r i no if he wants to have input on the re-design of the intersection? He said he does. Bob Fournierexplained at this point, a proposal has been submitted for a traffic studand i t ill also make recommendations for improvement, He I
