Paul asked if only the items the state has asked be addressed are in this <br /> proposal . Bob said that is correct. <br /> Paul asked if this will require cape cod commission review? <br /> Bob said it could require they make a presentation to the Commission. <br /> Paul said he understands you can request from the state any correspondence <br /> relative to this project. He asked SMMA to do that in writing . Ti e <br /> Committee wants to know what triggered them to require the EIR# <br /> Joe grade a motion to forward to the Selectmen the proposal to <br /> prepare an E I R from SMMA for an additional amount of $22 , 500 , This <br /> is an extra fee item as stated in their contract, Merry Sue <br /> seconded the motion. All members were in favor 5-0 . <br /> . <br /> SCOPE AND FEE PROPOSAL FOR ADVANCED SITE CLEARING <br /> SMMA presented a fee proposal for early site clearing to accelerate the <br /> R rod ect schedule. This will be bid from Dec. 19-Jan . 1 2 <br /> Ed E renette feels the time fra e is a m i stake t <br /> Paul said he i s not ready to rove on this yet, How did they arrive at the <br /> 20 Soo . figure? <br /> The committee will discuss this at next weeks meeting. <br /> DISCUSSION of TRAFFIC STUDY PROPOSAL <br /> Bob explained the cape cod commission sent a letter to NEPA requesting 3 <br /> additional intersections be studied : Jobs Fishing Road/161 , Lowell Rd and <br /> Great Neck Road North, entrance to the site off of old Barnstable Rd. <br /> Paul asked i f the E I R i s contingent upon approval of this report <br /> Bob said it i s . Greg Taylor and Tom Fudal a have reviewed the proposal to <br /> avoid duplicity. <br /> Paul said he has no problem doing a traffic study but he has a problem with <br /> the function design report - he does not want to pay the full price for <br /> design <br /> or- <br /> design that intersection, The committee can spend the money to repair that <br /> intersection or use it for the students,, <br /> What i s a function design report? <br /> Bob said it determines if additional turning lanes are required. <br /> Paul said he is nervous about this. It is leading us down the path to pay <br /> the entire bill for re design of that intersection and he is not ready to <br /> swallow that. He had spoken with Bob whr i ntenou r about this. Greg Taylor s <br /> looking for someone to pay the bill for the redesign of the intersection . <br /> Merry sue said the study has to be done, the E I R requires i t. The Cape cod <br /> Commission is involved now. <br /> Bob said they need the results from this traffic study in 6 weeks f or the <br /> EIR. <br /> Paul thinks the motion to approve payment for the E I R should be amended and <br /> include this traffic study under the additional work required by the EI R . <br /> Merry sue made a motion to modify the motion made for the E I R to <br /> add the fee for the traffic study , for a total additional services <br /> fee of $37 , 900 , Janice seconded the motion . All members were in <br /> favor. ** <br /> ARCHAEOLOGICAL SURVEY - SITE ACCESS <br /> Bob said the archaeological survey is scheduled to begin on Thursday and be <br /> 4 <br />
