DeMoura said there was a motion by the Board of Selectmen to move the
Superintendent's office to their space, He has a problem putting S offices
in the Selectmen ' s space, it won ' t fit. There had been informal
conversations with this Committee that there may be space for the
Superintendent in the high school . He needs to know if there will or will
not be. His options will have to be presented to the School committee.
D r, DeMoura said he got the impression the only outdoor storage space i
the "garage" attached to the STP, large enough for a truck. I f there i s no
other outdoor storage for equipment than the School Department will have to
contract out that work;
Paul explained their are waiting for a. list from Greg Taylor on what
equipment would be needed and it's size, The architects can then evaluate
ghat size storage is needed.
Dr. DeMoura said it may be cheaper- to contract out the service and that
should be explored ,.
Everyone agreed.
Paul commented on the Superintendent' s office space. That space is not
covered under the State' s reimbursement allowance. Presently it i's not
included as part of the scope of the high school . There are 2 options
he can lease property or he could use some of the space that will be empty
for 3-4 years in the high school . The Committee did not look specifically
at how that would work.
Peter explained at Nantucket High School , through a change order at the end
of the project, they included space for the Superintendent at the end of
1
