WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLAIT Last Friday there was a meeting regarding the WWTP. The most important issue , for the Town to complete , is the operation and maintenance manuals, The IEP discharge permit requires it be overseen by a. professional engineer. This committee needs to look to the services of a, professional for this . They also discussed who i s responsible for the cost of operation for the first year. It was concluded this committee should retain that responsibility. Steve explained it is probably better to assume that cost for one year before turning it over to the school , Peter thinks that makes sense , the school Department does net have much experience in running sewage treatment plants . Steve explained this Committee must contract for operation of the plant and for sludge hauler, which probably won' t be used the first year. The contracts for this work have to be developed . Omesh Kunar from Woodard and Curren was present . Paul said the committee bought inspection services from Woodard and Curren, does that include helping to prepare the manual? Mr. Kunar said it does not. Joel would like to discuss what DEP requires from the manual . Steve said it is nebulas at this point . It should included what DEP grants the town to test for.
