MASHPEE HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING COMMITTEE MONDAY, OCTOBER 30 , 1995 HIGH SCHOOL SITE Present : Paul Griffin, Peter Dinizio , Steve Greelish, Bill Martiros , Janice Mills , Joe Polito , Merry Sue Ahlgren, Tom Wren, Jim Byrne , Ian Aitchison, John Williams , Mike Pietrowski , Bill Hauck, Manny Tavares PAYMENT REQUISITION * Paul made a motion to forward to the Selectmen, for approval and payment Stone Builders ' fifth payment requisition in the amount of $1 , 047 , 697 . 00 Peter seconded the motion. Discussion: Tom Wren said in his letter he has pointed out a number of things which have not occurred (they have not either worked weekends , doubled the crews or increased the number of hours worked) , this is the 4th consecutive month payment has been in excess of 10% below schedule of values . Paul agreed there are a considerable amount of outstanding items , prevailing wage reporting is behind and some is in error, progress photos were not received (Bob presented them at this meeting) . * All members were in favor of the motion 7-0 . ** CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS Jim Byrne reported that last week he prepared a report for Paul and Joel on the progress of the job. The structural steel is progressing rather slowly, There have been a number of situations regarding the steel that are not different from other jobs he has worked on but the problem is the number of times it is happening and the time it takes to get it resolved. That is holding up the job. The site work continues to go well . He letter was S pages of various issues , that when lumped together they are a problem. In his opinion the job is either staying the same or even slipping a little . Paul said last week the steel crew increased their hours but this week they did not. He advised Stone to talk seriously with the steel crew. Stone better start to show some good faith effort . He asked Bob Barthelmes when we will see some board go up? He said they have to correct steel in derrick 1 before board can begin to go uP• Joel said the base frame needs to be corrected before exterior sheeting goes on. Paul asked if that has been resolved? Bob said the sketch is done but not yet submitted to SMMA. Paul asked when the next pour on the second floor will be? Bob said derrick 2 will be on Wednesday. Joel said that needs to be discussed. There is remedial work that needs to be done before a pour would be acceptable . 1
