s Peter asked what the project manager thinks about this? Have expenses shifted to PP&E that the committee did not know about? Ian does not think so. It is a fuzzy area. Paul said the Committee originally had agreed on a basic auditorium for as many students as could be afforded . It went from a meeting room to a theater .: Janice said It was always her understanding i t would be an auditorium with a stage to present theater productions.. Paul said the minutes clearly say it was to be for meetings of the students for no less than half the student population . Steve remembers the committee even said they could not afford theater lighting . Paul said a theater brings a whole new level of issues related to the bu i 1 d i ng code. Phil said the budget absorbed that. The auditorium has evolved and it is al l incorporated in to the project. It was not original . Janice said it i s part of a high school , no question . Mike asked what happened to the acoustical engineering consultant? Steve said he spoke with him. He designed the acoustical elements of the auditorium and they were incorporated into the plan . They d i d produce some graphs. Phil said they advised SMA as consultants , there are no drawings produced by them, Their recommendations are incorporated into the drawings . There are 40 hearing assisted units provided . Steve thinks it is too many. Paul said the cede that governs that is unreasonable . Phil asked if this town is setting this as a shopping list or budget? Is i ty our intent to buy all of these computers on the first day ? Paul said no, but this i s the full scope. Thur ,have to purchase enough for 1180 students. Paul said there was a problem with Manny Tavares's Group III Equipment estimate and it needs to be cleaned up. Merry sue said they cannot phase too retch out of the budget, who will buy it later? Phil said the committee would like more details of the revisions for Group II1 - # 4 and # have not been designed yet, so they cannot get a breakdown . , Paul said the committee needs the assumptions these figures are based on . Peter asked if, when the bids come back , the committee then has to choose which alternates they want to purchase before the bid is accepted? That i s correct.
