Janice thinks he is tough , he doesn ' t look it but she feels he could handle , t -Thomas Mullane . Paul showed the committee the paperwork each applicant sent, Mr . Mullane only sent his resume . Merry sue liked his comment about being the eyes and ears of the committee. Steve said his time off will probably cost the project , h i lack of familiarity with materials, practices etc d Paul said he did not have as much enthusiasm. -� Paul McLaughlin . Merry sue liked that he looked at the plans but noticed he does not have an up to date resume. Committee asked Tom wren his opinion . Tom said that he will be spending The o of his time with this person . He has spoken to Paul McLaughlin a few times. Ian ret with J i m Byrne at the pre-bid meeting . Tom said that Jim Byrne impressed him with his enthusiasm. He has had a lot of school experience over the last few years, M r ,Mc l au g h l i n also has school experience but it has been some time . J i m conveys to Tom what a clerk i's a man who "speaks their language" . He thinks either Jim or Paul McLaughlin would be a good choice . Paul said he likes to see applicants hungry, hustlers, because they have to get the next j ob. Paul said the Committee ' s job i s to give a recommendation to Chartwell since they are hiring them they have to be happy with them. Janice said the person chosen has to work well with Chartwell and have the respect of the architects. Ed does not think you can go wrong with either Jim or Paul McLaughlin * Enthusiasm get you somewhere but you have to have knowledge and know how to execute. It is worth -a talk to the architects and owners of the pro,*ects they have worked on . Ed will talk with the architects of these jobs . The committee will discuss It further and make a decision on Monday . Janice thinks it imperative to look into their references . Paul asked if Chartwell invited ,hack Winn (clerk for Middle school addition) for an interview? Torn explained they had but he recently canceled , said he would be out of town and unavailable. MINUTES Vote on minutes. Merry Sue- made a motion to approve the minutes of March 21st and April 11th . Janice seconded the motion . All members were in favor. ** Meeting adjourned at 6 : 50 p. m.
