Paul asked SMMA to review the present air conditioning system.
Additional seats at the football stad i um?
Presently there are Soo . Merry sue would prefer to see lights VS .
additional seating . The money should go other places first. Peter
suggested it as a low priority item.
Paul asked sMMA to come back with some recommendations.
Peter explained that Greg -Tay 1 or and the County are working on
signal i zati on for the i ntersecti on it is a high priority on a county 1 i st
and it may be done before the project i s complete .
Joe asked if there is any news regarding the sewage treatment plant?
Joel said they met with DEP and Woodard and Curran this morning . DEP' s
comments were minor and addressed with documentation . They completed the
application , which was signed by Bob wh r i tenon r and that activates the
process . There is another meeting Wed , at 10 : 00 ate P office to
discuss the SBR process and hear DEP ' s comments and address them,, The
O rocess is moving along fine.
Steve asked where it stood as to which system we will use?
Joel said after tonight ' s Selectmen ' s meeting , when the contractor is on
board they can ask the contractor when he carried ( in his bids . They can
short a step at DEP, they won ' t have to carry 2 systems in the permit .
Steve asked that Elias McQuaid be kept in the loop .
Paul said the 2 systems in the specs , were very comparable, for maintenance
costs . It was clear that cromaglass was not going to be accepted by DEIN.
c romag 1 ass has burned more bridges than they fixed .
DEP seems to understand and accept these systems,
Steve said his personal preference would be SBR , Chemical addition will be
less with that system. Each system can work equally well but the issue to
him is the amount of chemical treatment, the less you have to add the less
can go wrong
Paul asked about testing contractors?
Joel said they contacted some testing labs that sMMIA has used in the past,,
They sent letters to 4 firms asking them to provide pricing for certain
types of testing , on a per test or per day basis : soils , steel , welds,
masonry .
Paul asked about surveying work?
Joel said ILSs was going to work on the early site package but because that
was voided it has become part of the general contract.
Paul asked if there will be a protection fence around the site?
Joel said around the building area, not the entire site .
Bi 1 1 asked about the size of the storage building?
It will be 400 sq feet. It was not made larger because the school
department will probably bid the maintenance .
Paul said the dirt road on the site is heavily used . stone may want to
6
