Athletic Field Lighting Joel explained the Committee has asked that coin operated lighting be added to the tennis/basketball courts . High intensity discharge lighting is used for the other outdoor lighting because it is the most energy efficient . With coin operated , you may be in the midst of a game arid if the. lights go off it will be 10-15 minutes before the power can go back on.
