MINUTES OF THE MEETING MASHPEE HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING COMMITTEE TUESDAY, JULY 30, 1996 HIGH SCHOOL SITE Present: Paul Griffin (Chair) , Joe Polito, Peter Dinizio, Merry Sue Ahlgren, Janice Mills , Steve Greelish, Bill Martiros Also Present: Tom Wren, Ian Aitchison, Jim Byrne (all from Chartwell ) , Joel Seeley ( from SMMA) , John Williams , Dr . DeMoura, Manual Tavares/TDA, Michael Kerwin/CCR Meeting convened at 4:15 p.m. AGENDA ITEMS - DISCUSSION/ACTION: 1 . Minutes of Previous Meeting and Housekeeping Merry Sue informed that the Minutes of the Meeting of July 16 , 1996 , are in error concerning a statement relative to the Cape Cod Commission. She suggested the "minutes" be reviewed so they can be corrected and submitted for approval at the next meeting. Short discussion followed. Tom pointed out the possibility of a function error in the figure of 14 , 000 which will have to be checked. 2 . Construction Progress and Punch List Status Paul said the Academic Wing seems to be. in fairly good shape; he explained that it may not be ready for a substantial completion certificate from the Architect for about two weeks . Joel Seeley verified. Paul also said he does not feel this will be an issue concerning the furniture delivery; he has asked Many Tavares to go over his contract during this meeting. Paul said the remainder of the building is somewhat of an unknown; 'there is a question if it will be ready on time. The following items were discussed: Paul said the floor of the m was supposed to be started around July 23rd but has not been started. He explained that the wood has been moved in . . . the air conditioning system was to be going, but it may get too cold in there because the heat is not yet in that area . . . the baseboard is just being installed. Paul asked if the floor could be started next week. Joel said it is hard to project . . . there is still a lot of work to be done . . . prep work, cleaning up, and temperature control. Paul was informed that the epoxy in the kitchen was started yesterday. Paul explained there is about one week' s work there; the kitchen contractor has been asked to start around August 5th . . . this date may be premature; he has about 7 days of work. Paul said there is a lot of work to do in the auditorium; the contractors who were supposed to work this past weekend for the auditorium work did not show up. We have an executive meeting tomorrow morning; he has placed a call to the appropriate
