Kirwin was going on vacation. That was unrealistic of him to do
that.
HB Communications is the bidder, does anyone know anything about
them?
Mike Pietrowski said they are one of the largest audio video
distributors in the Northeast. They have done the Fleet Center
and Stanley Morgan Bank, that he knows of.
Steve said he has a problem with the chain of events . The
Committee received the documents after they had gone out to bid.
He never go answers to his questions from CCR and now this.
This Committee cannot reasonably say OK to spending the money on
this without the information. There is a time factor also .
Janice said the Committee is not getting the service from CCR
that we deserve . Mike Kirwin knows there is a time factor, he ' s
know it for weeks. We need some service from CCR, this is
reprehensible .
Paul asked Joel to get in touch with Mike Kirwin. Three--quarters
of a million dollars is too much to vote on with no analysis .
This Committee may have to have a special meeting to deal with
these issues. This has to be expedited.
Peter asked if the technology is not ready by September, does
that effect using the building?
Paul does not think this portion of the bid package will, it is
mostly auditorium, gym. There are some servers in this package.
The telephone bid is different .
Mike Pietrowski said if this gets delayed, who ever wins the bid
should be granted an extension of time to complete the work.
Paul said we have to know if the vendor has an issue with that
first . He suggested Mike Kirwin invite this company down here
for the next meeting to discus some of these issues .
Paul would also like to hear, from Mike Kirwin, why there were so
many regrets .
Telephone : Paul said his concern is that he has never even heard
of National Telephone , or some of the other bidders .
Steve said we will have to do a check on them.
Mike Kirwin will have to research this.
The Committee decided to table this discussion until hearing from
Mike Kirwin.
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE/CONTINGENCY PLAN
Paul spoke with David Patrick yesterday. There are humidity
problems on the first floor because of the cold slab. Heating and
electrical contractors are working overtime to get the heating
system and all life safety issues done . Saturday there were 18
men working and they work OT during the week. They expect to have
the heat on in 1 1/2 weeks .
Stone has a schedule of finishes. Paul does not see any problem
with them getting done in A,B & E by July 23rd. The site work
2
