Joe said this concerns him. That they would lay the tile now is
stupid, they need to dry the building out first.
Paul will talk to them about monitoring the humidity levels . We
don' t however, have the right to drive the job.
Joe asked can the building be tight now? It cannot.
He said then it is premature to lay tile .
Paul said the Committee can only enforce the spec .
Jim said if they do it per the spec , then it will be OK and we
will enforce the spec.
Paul said they will start installing the lockers next week. The
glass for the classroom door areas has been delayed, should be
here in 14 days .
The arrow head curtain wall is finished. The first level is not
finished because of masonry issues and they are being held up
because of Carr (there are many issues related to Carr) .
In the bathroom they will apply the epoxy paint on the floors
next week. The fixtures will be delivered earlier than scheduled
and will go in after the paint.
Paul said this creates a problem with the sewage treatment plant.
Alan Scott said the roof is going on the STP today. They are
pushing to finish by June 1 .
Merry Sue asked how the cabling is going?
Paul said it is on going. Griffin Electric is keeping up with it,
they are working overtime . The lights are up in the gym.
Paul said Alan Scott believes everything will be done on time
with the possible exception of the auditorium because here is so
much to do in there. All the subs have said it is doable .
George Gunn was upset with the progress of the last week. He is
also upset with the way Alan Scott is doing things.
John Vasellet will be working on the academic wing , to clean up
the remaining things. There are a lot of small things which need
to be completed.
George Gunn is working on a detailed list of items to be done on
the site , and prioritized them.
George Gunn will remain on the job until the end, Stone is paying
him.
Lawrence Lynch, who performed very well in the first half of the
project has not performed well in he last few weeks. There are a
lot of things not happening.
The track is paved.
The lower fields are way too soft. Joel said the period to
fertilize is almost over and it still hasn' t been done . They
said the fields are too soft to fertilize (with a truck) . He told
them he doesn' t care how they do it , just do it.
Paul said the big extra' s proposal is up for a vote at Monday' s
Selectmen' s meeting . It is on the agenda for 6 : 30.
2
