The Committee may want that in lieu of something on this list .
The Committee reviewed that list .
Practice football field -33 , 689 budgeted, 199, 619 submitted price .
Joel said the original budget was low. There is a lot of fill , cutting and
grubbing .
SMMA has gotten these prices twice and they have not moved much.
He suggested bidding to an outside contractor.
Steve agreed, it should be bid separately.
Paul asked why we would give Stone change order #11 if we are going to put
together a package to go out to bid for these items?
Joel said because those prices are reasonable . The inside building work has
to go to Stone.
Stone is putting down the base of the track and they should probably put
down the synthetic surface.
Steve said it is likely that who ever is doing the work for Stone , could
bid the job competitively and be in a position to give us a good price.
Mike Pietrowski said the National Guard put in the fields at Mass. Maritime
Academy, maybe they could put in the practice football field.
Dr. DeMoura said they job would have to be closed out first before they
could od it.
Merry Sue said the price for the planting materials is so good, that should
not be pulled out.
* Paul made a motion to forward to the Selectmen for their approval
change order #12 for $421 , 548 . for 3 tennis courts, site
accessories, synthetic tract , additional plantings and upgrade of
lobby/corridor floors to ceramic tile.
