1 F MASHPEE MGH SCHOOL BUILDING COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES TUESDAY, MARCH 259 1997 MGH SCHOOL Present: Merry Sue Ahlgren, Janice Mills, Peter Dinizio, Joe Polito, Steve Greelish, Paul Griffin} Bill Martiros Also Present: Jim Byrne, Ian Aitchison, John Williams, Dr. Lincoln DeMoura, Mile Iii resin, Mike Pietrowski Meeting convened at 4:07 p.m. MMTES Merry Sue made a motion to accept the minutes of February 25, 1997. Joe seconded the motion. All members were in favor. OPEN HOUSE All the invitations have been mailed out. Jim provided Dr. DeMoura with a list of everyone associated with the project. Peter asked Dr. DeMoura to invite the clergy. He will send those invitations. Merry Sue explained there will not be formal tours but students will be positioned throughout the building as well as staff members and people can view the building on their ovum. Dr. DeMoura asked the Committee to notify him of anyone else they would like an invitation to go to. The volunteer coordinator has the imitation list and is working on addressing the invitations. It will be a short ceremony. Mery Sue will give a short history of the process. Janice will introduce the people involved and recognize the guests. FF & E TECHNOLOGY Dr. DeMoura introduced Joe Augenblick the new network administrator for the high school. Mike I .irvvin gave an update of where we are with the technology vendors: -Mem'mack: has been instructed to reprise their existing invoice and return the equipment for the Internet connection. Dr. DeMoura and Steve Greellsh have worked out another package that is very cost effective. The school will order 2 data lines at a great rate. - Whicorn: was closed out at an earlier meeting. There is 814 remaining that won't be paid out. Paul wants therm to send a letter stating that their contract has been fulfilled. -Edgestar: there recently was a problem with this software. Steve thought it was bug in the software, not a matter of the product requiring more memory. Edgestar brought the corrected software here I week ago. They are keeping a close eye on that. There is one piece of network management software and training outstanding. CIC: is substantially complete. Because of the poor performance of them`training company, Mike Kirwin wrote them a. letter stating that the training was unacceptable. They will back charge that out of their contract and the school will use the $10,000 pool of funds for training. Paul asked if the $10,000 will be adequate to meet the requirements of training? Will it meet the performance spec? He asked Joe Augenblick if he bas an objection to this we should know about it soon.
