r Mke Pietrowski gave an update on the audio visual system. The system is just about filly installed. Where are a few odds and ends waiting to be completed. They will do a full signal test and punchlist in a few weeks. Merry Sue asked about the added control boxes, ghat was the final price. Mike does not know what the price was,but the boxes are here. They hope to have them done in the next few weeks. He feels the AMX training should wait for September, since there will be another grade of teachers to be trained. -Air Conditioning: Paul explained that we had issued Stone a directive to install the air conditionin in the Superintendent's office but they are not coning back. He asked Jim Byrne o make it a top priority to get it going. -Cash registers: Dr. DeMoura discussed the requested cash register purchase. This system would be connected with our computer system., to the principal and Canteen. It can be used to generate the reports required by the State. Orxginally he thought the cost would be $22,000 but he has gotten three quotes and the lowest is $15,000, He would like to recommend purchase of this system for a cost of not to exceed$15Y000. Bill asked what Canteen provides,just the food? Dr. DeMoura said they prepare the menus, purchase the food, handle the reporting and the accounting, He explained all the work can continue to be done by hand or we can do it smarter with computers and less man hours. Peter asked if it will solve the problem of ru m'ng out of the main entree item? Paul said it 1s a smart tracking system so it can provide a history but it cannot account for the weather. Merry sue asked what $1.5,000 buys" Dr. DeMoura said the bid covers 2 registers for this building and the software. Paul said this system could not be operational until September, with installation and training. He explained that the well is running dry. The Supefintendents office should put a priority on the items that they want. Paul does not have a problem getting the things we can afford but fends are starting to get tight. After getting a final settlement document frorn Stone and an estimate from like Kirwin on the second phase of computer purchase, he will have a better idea of remaining funds. Merry Sue said this is a high tech school and the cafeteria should be at the same level of the gest of the school. Paul agrees, he supports this, but knowing it won't be implemented until September gives everyone time to review the list of outstanding items and prioritize that list. Dr. DeMoura said if the money is available, does this system meet with the Committee approval? It does meet the Committee's approval. Dr. DeMoura requested an idea of how much money is left and he and John Williams will prioritize
