4.2 Circuit Breaker <br /> { <br /> The school is expecting to receive a total of$239,000 in Circuit <br /> Breaker-funding. <br /> 4.2 Revolving funds <br /> Ms. Lugo reviewed the revolving funds account. <br /> 4.3 School Lunch <br /> Ms. Lugo reviewed the March 2008 lunch program report. There were <br /> $47,000 in sales and $38,000 in expenses, leaving 00.00 profit for the <br /> month. <br /> Mrs. Bradshaw explained that Mr. Scott diverts items. This means taking free <br /> items from the government and sending thrn to a processor to be made into <br /> something more usable and palatable for our students. For example, <br /> government cheese is seat to Land of Lakes. If Mr. Scott purchases cheese <br /> from Land o' Lakes it costs a case, but by diverting it costs $22 a case. <br /> .2 Medicaid Reimbursement <br /> Ms. Lugo stated that so far the school has received approximately <br /> $183,000 in reimbursements and everything is on target. <br /> Ms. Lugo discussed that the current Medicaid reimbursement contract <br /> with UMASS expires on May 31, 2008 and she would like to extend the <br /> contract for one year, possibly two years. <br /> Mrs. Mills made a motion, seconded by Mr. Bailey to contract out to <br /> UMASS for two years. <br /> Mrs. Grady stated that she would like to see the contract in writing before <br /> a vote at the next meeting. <br /> Mrs. Mills rescinded her motion. <br /> Mrs. Grady stated that when the school left the Cape Cod Collaborative it <br /> was not due to having any problems with thein. <br /> Ms. Lugo stated that there are some issues regarding special education <br /> transportation that she would like to discuss. She stated that the issues <br /> include the aging fleet of vans, rider ship exceeding van capacity, and <br /> lack of response in advertising for substitute drivers.She stated that the <br /> school has no funds to update the fleet or purchase any transportation <br /> software or video monitoring equipment. <br /> School Committee Finance Meeting 4/16/08 2 <br />
