9 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> January 5, 2009 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Recommendation for Appointment—Affirmative Action Committee: <br /> Deborah Vaughn submitted a letter of interest dated November 19, 2008 to <br /> serve on the Town's Affirmative Action Committee/No Place for Hate <br /> Committee. Members of the Affirmative Action Committee met on <br /> November 18, 2008 and recommended her appointment. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cook to appoint Deborah A. Vaughn to <br /> the Affirmative Action Committee/No Place for Hate Committee for a <br /> term to expire June 30, 2009. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Ratification of Contract—Deputy Police Chief: <br /> The Board of Selectmen, at their last meeting in Executive Session voted <br /> to accept the amended contractual agreement between the Town and the <br /> Deputy Police Chief. Al Todino the Deputy Chief of Police was <br /> recognized for accepting a zero percent increase in the three-year <br /> agreement during a time of fiscal constraints. <br /> Motion made by Selectmen Myers to ratify the personal service <br /> contract between the Town of Mashpee and Al Todino,Deputy Chief <br /> of Police as amended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cook. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
