Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> June 1. 2009 <br /> Public Heanng--Mashwe Commons Annual Entertainment License" <br /> Being no additional comment,the Board of Selectmen motioned to close <br /> the public Hearing. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to close the Public Hearing, <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cook. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 54. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to approve the application of <br /> Mashpee Commons Limited Partnership-to provide entertainment to <br /> the public from,Tune 2,2009 through December 31,2009 in Mashpee <br /> Commons,Mashpee as referenced. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cool <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. ,o. <br /> Mashpee.Housing Authori —Request to,mend Deed—570 Old <br /> amstable Road: <br /> Leila Botsford Executive Director of the Mashpee Housing Authority was <br /> m attendance to request the Board of Selectmen approve a change to the <br /> deed at property located at 570 Old Barnstable Road, Mashpee to <br /> incorporate additional housing units to the current affordable housing <br /> complex. <br /> The land was deeded to the Mashpee Housing Authority Mn 1985 to allow <br /> for the construction of six units of affordable lousing. In January of Zoo , <br /> the Selectmen voted to sponsor a Town Meeting article to allow for the <br /> addition of 9 more bedrooms to expand the property. The site is presently <br /> permitted for 9 additional bedrooms under the present Title V septic <br /> system. The Breezy Acres affordable housing project at the referenced <br /> site location received Con .nun*ty preservation Act funding to allow for <br /> the construction of additional affordable housing units. To male the best <br /> use of the $450,000 in awarded CPA funds, and secured State grant <br /> appropriations,the Housing Authority has requested the deed be amended <br /> to allow for th6 development of 22 more bedrooms. The new <br /> configuration would to tie into the existing 18 bedrooms on site. The <br /> proposal would be more financially feasible and would allow for a total of <br /> 40 bedroom units of affordable housing. <br />
