5 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> June 1, 2009 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Mash i merit �-R <br /> nuest to Amend Deed—570 Old <br /> Barnstable Road: (continued) <br /> An innovative alternative septic system would be developed on site to <br /> replace the existing Title v system to accommodate the additional <br /> bedroom units at the Breezy Acres development site. <br /> An IIA septic system pre-treats effluent and other pollutants before it <br /> enters into the soil absorption system. The design frequently uses a large <br /> as to serve as a leaching system where playing fields are often located. <br /> The innovative alternative system provides advanced treatment to reduce <br /> the wastewater"s nitrogen content. <br /> FIs. Botsford explained the bids received through the Request for Proposal <br /> would further define the anticipated septic system and its configuration in <br /> accordance with Town requirements. <br /> It was noted the Board of Health agent has approved the request for 22 <br /> additional bedrooms, a total not to exceed 40 at the Breezy Acres location, <br /> a site consisting of 6.2 acres. <br /> The Selectmen requested to review the correspondence from the Board of <br /> Health agent regarding approval of the 22 additional bedroom units. I <br /> addition,the Selectmen requested a copy of the RFP requiring the <br /> innovative alternative septic system. It was agreed that future plans <br /> contained in the bid specifications would also be reviewed. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to approve the request of the <br /> Mashpee Dousing Authority, and amend the deed associated to 570 <br /> Old Barnstable Road to allow for a total of 22 additional bedroom <br /> units, a total not to exceed 40 bedrooms. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cool <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. - . <br /> i <br />
