x <br /> 19 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> March 22,2010 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Request.from Joyce Lyons, Owner, Picnic x-BYOB: <br /> down for the above referenced agenda topic f <br /> Selectmen Tailor stepped do ere <br /> discussion. <br /> Joyce Lyons, owner and operator of the Picnic Box was present with her <br /> son,Tom Lyons to request permission to advertise and allow patrons to <br /> bring their own alcoholic beverages to the establishment during the hours ' <br /> o :oo p.m. to 9:00.p.m. luring this time,the restaurant Will sell sushi <br /> and sashimi. <br /> f 4h <br /> It was noted the Board of Health approved the added operation eration of the <br /> p <br /> restaurant business under their Food Establishment License. The Picnic <br /> Box does not have a liquor license. <br /> The Selectmen asked Mr. Lyons why he did not pursue a regular liquor <br /> license. His response was that it was a new idea, and it is the priority of <br /> the food facility to serve fresh fish, and soup, etc. to its patrons. It vias <br /> noted the drinking of alcoholic beverages would be contained inside the <br /> building at the subject premise. <br /> If an establishment does not have a liquor f�license,they must e with <br /> the city or town in which the establishment is located to learn if them is <br /> any <br /> logia lav dealing th the bringing of one's own beer, wine or other <br /> alcoholic beverage onto an establishment for person consumption. <br /> There is nd ordinance in place in the Town of Mashpee for the Selectmen <br /> to prohibit an establishment to allow their patrons to bring their on <br /> alcoholic beverages to the food establishment. <br /> i <br /> As a result,the Board of Selectmen did not take any action regarding this <br /> �'oposa . <br />
