3 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> May 3, 201 <br /> NEW BUSINESS. <br /> S ecial &Annual Town Meeting Warrants,-Discussion Motions: <br /> The Town Manager distributed an amendment to the Special Town <br /> Meeting warrant for Article 5 to appropriate$177,590 from the <br /> Waterways Improvement Fred to the Waterways Ma*ntenance Account. <br /> The Selectmen had previously deferred action on this article as available <br /> funding was not fully determined. As of this slate,the sum of$199,676 is <br /> available in the Waterways Maintenance Account. The initial article <br /> would have transferred $239,070 from the Waterways Improvement Fund <br /> to the Waterways Maintenance Account. An itemization of the actual <br /> casts was provided in the explanation. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cook to support Article#5 of the Special <br /> Town Meeting warrant as amended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -o. <br /> With regards to Article 10, parcels of land acquired by the Town by tax <br /> foreclosure contained in the warrant that would authorize the Selectmen to <br /> dispense of the parcels for the purpose of disposition and sale rather than <br /> be held by the Ton for conservation purposes. If the article passes, it <br /> was the consensus of the Board of Selectmen to provide the Department of <br /> Conservation&Recreation DCR the first option to purchase 147 <br /> Lovell's Lane. <br /> A brief discussion followed with respect to the,petition articles. <br />
