3 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Nfinutes <br /> June 21 201 <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: . <br /> Re nest for Su ort�-MEP Methodolo �odeln b e National <br /> Academy of Sciences: <br /> Correspondence was received from John Kelly, Town Admi-m"strator on <br /> behalf of the Orleans Board of Selectmen via email dated June 3, 2010 <br /> requesting the Selectmen support a peer review of the MEP Methodology <br /> and Modeling by the National Academy of Sciences. A lever was also <br /> reviewed from the Town of Orleans dated June 2,2010 to the Barnstable <br /> County Commissioners seeking support in the area of wastewater <br /> management. A response letter from the Barnstable County <br /> Commissioners dated June 1 5, 201 o regarding the.peer review has <br /> indicated they VAR not sponsor or support such a review. <br /> The Town Manager suggested the Board take no action on this matter. <br /> Selectman Cahalane representing the Sever Commission also agreed. <br /> With respect to the communication, the Selectmen.did not take any action. <br /> Click-It or Ticket pro Ado tion: <br /> The Selectmen were in receipt of conixnunication from the Executive <br /> Office of public Safety and Security slated June 9, 2010 requesting the <br /> Town of Mahpee enforce the seat belt and child safety seat laws by <br /> adopting a zero tolerance enforcement polity for safety belt violations. <br /> The Board agreed to refer the natter to the Chief of Police for additional <br /> input and review. <br /> LIAISON REPORTS: <br /> Doar rnent of public Works: <br /> It was reported the Department of Public Works is expected to complete <br /> the Town's portion of the Route 130 bikepath by the end of the week. The <br /> remainder of the project is anticipated to be completed in approximately <br /> four weeks thereafter. During the construction them will be no lane <br /> closures. <br /> 6:34 p.m. Selectman Cook present. <br />
