S Board of Selectmen Minutes August 22, 2011 OLDBISINSS: Update on Solar Projects* Toni Mayo,the Assistant Town Manager ger updated the Board of Selectmen on current solar energy projects. Presently,the rood`mounted project at the Mashpee High/Middle Middle School 01 is on schedule. To date,the sour panels have been installed. The project is earmarked for completion in mid-September. Outstanding natters to be addressed include landscape damage and the process of re-sealing roof penetrations. The roof mounted project at the Town Hall lw has been delayed as there are concerns regarding the load capacity of the roof. with regards to the C A,the installation 1 kwremains in its' preliminary design phase due to the outstanding matters relative to the Town Mall installation. As a result of pending issues,the proposed solar project is scheduled to be installed at the DPW facility. The second solar energy project at the Mashpee Landfill is in the contracting process and will'require Town Meeting approval of two articles for the long-term lease of municipal property, and the payment in lieu of taxes(PILOT) agreement. A. final contract is anticipated to be presented to the-Selectmen at their September 12 thmeeting. OLD BUSINESS: Ton Counsel Review of DJ Ellis Corn lint: The Board of Selectmen briefly discussed the complaint received ern lelor J. Ellis dated.duly 26, 2011 relative to various allegations. Mr. Ellis was a former member f the Town's Planning & Construction Committee. Additional communication was reviewed from Tori Counsel dated August 10, 2011 with respect to this regard. In consideration of this matter, it is the opinion of Town Counsel that no further action of the Board is necessary. It i recommended the July 26"' letter with the attached correspondence and documents be filed with the records of the Board of Selectmen.
