S <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 22, 2011 <br /> OLDBISINSS: <br /> Update on Solar Projects* <br /> Toni Mayo,the Assistant Town Manager ger updated the Board of Selectmen on <br /> current solar energy projects. Presently,the rood`mounted project at the Mashpee <br /> High/Middle Middle School 01 is on schedule. To date,the sour panels have been <br /> installed. The project is earmarked for completion in mid-September. <br /> Outstanding natters to be addressed include landscape damage and the process of <br /> re-sealing roof penetrations. <br /> The roof mounted project at the Town Hall lw has been delayed as there are <br /> concerns regarding the load capacity of the roof. with regards to the C A,the <br /> installation 1 kwremains in its' preliminary design phase due to the outstanding <br /> matters relative to the Town Mall installation. As a result of pending issues,the <br /> proposed solar project is scheduled to be installed at the DPW facility. <br /> The second solar energy project at the Mashpee Landfill is in the contracting <br /> process and will'require Town Meeting approval of two articles for the long-term <br /> lease of municipal property, and the payment in lieu of taxes(PILOT) agreement. <br /> A. final contract is anticipated to be presented to the-Selectmen at their September <br /> 12 thmeeting. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Ton Counsel Review of DJ Ellis Corn lint: <br /> The Board of Selectmen briefly discussed the complaint received ern lelor J. <br /> Ellis dated.duly 26, 2011 relative to various allegations. Mr. Ellis was a former <br /> member f the Town's Planning & Construction Committee. <br /> Additional communication was reviewed from Tori Counsel dated August 10, <br /> 2011 with respect to this regard. In consideration of this matter, it is the opinion <br /> of Town Counsel that no further action of the Board is necessary. It i <br /> recommended the July 26"' letter with the attached correspondence and <br /> documents be filed with the records of the Board of Selectmen. <br />
