All towns are required by the D.O.R. to <br /> maintain a revaluation account for costs relating to valuation consultants, <br /> Appellate Tax Board expenses, private appraisals, defense of values and various <br /> other requirements to ensure accurate assessments and timely issuance of tax <br /> bills. <br /> Article 4 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to transfer $20,000 from the Interest Outside 2 1/2 to <br /> Temporary Borrowing Inside 2 '/, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Treasurer/Tax Collector <br /> Explanation: Approval of this article will transfer funds from the Interest Outside <br /> Account to the Temporary Borrowing Inside Account to cover a shortfall created <br /> by Bond Anticipation Notes that came due in September 2013 but were not <br /> renewed until January 2014. <br /> Article 5 <br /> To see if the Town will transfer$10,000 from the Ambulance Receipts Reserved <br /> for Appropriation Account to the Fire & Rescue Expense Account, or take any <br /> other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Acting Fire Chief <br /> Explanation: This action will provide funding for an anticipated shortfall in the <br /> Medical Supplies line item. There has been a 15% increase in call volume for <br /> the Fire Department. These calls are largely medical related. This translates to <br /> an increase in the usage of medical disposal items with the prices for these items <br /> steadily rising. <br /> Article 6 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer from the Community <br /> Preservation Fund in accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 44B, §5, <br /> as follows: $22,500 from the 10% Historic Reserves for the purpose of funding A <br /> History of Mashpee, Massachusetts; an updated pictorial history of the Town of <br /> Mashpee, including any necessary costs and expenses related thereto, as <br /> recommended by the Community Preservation Committee, or take any other <br /> action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Community Preservation Committee <br />
