16 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> January 27, 2014 <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS: <br /> Shellfish Constable—Oyster Reef Proposal: (continued) <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to absolutely support the oyster Reef <br /> proposal, and send a letter of support to the application being submitted by <br /> the Town of wellfleet to the National Fish and wildlife Foundation for a <br /> Coastal Resiliency Grant. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Richardson. <br /> VOTE: unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Cahalane, yes Selectman Richardson, yes <br /> Selectman Taylor, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes <br /> Selectman Sherman, yes Opposed, none <br /> LIAISON REPORTS: <br /> MMA Conference: Several members of the Board of Selectmen including Town <br /> Management attended the recent Massachusetts Municipal Association's 35th <br /> annual meeting and trade show in Boston earlier this month. The keynote <br /> speakers and data disseminated were very informative. Of particular note was a <br /> seminar regarding the proposed resolution ensuring sustainable OPEB (Other <br /> Post-Employment Benefits) costs for cities, towns and local taxpayers. Overall, <br /> there is a good outlook for revenue in the State of Massachusetts with a 5% <br /> growth projected. <br />
