Messmer announced <br /> her retirement as CEO of Cape Cod Child Development by the end of June 2014, after 34 years of <br /> service with the agency. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Review of Minutes from Thursday, May 15, 2014 <br /> Janice Warlf rd made a motion that the minutes from the 5/15/2014 meeting be approved as <br /> presented. Mary Scanlan seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously approved. <br /> Thanks for Giving Award Plaques <br /> Gail Wilson stated that the proposed wording of the heading on the plaques reads as follows: <br /> "Mashpee Human Services Committee Thanks for Giving Award — Individual Recipients";ipients"; and <br /> "I ashpee Runyan services Committee mitt Thanks for Guying Award - Group Recipients".ipients". Below the <br /> heading will be the nares of the individual/group awardees with the year of the award. <br /> The committee agreed to the proposed wording. Muth Elias and Janice v alf rd will confer with <br /> Town Hall as to the appropriate placement of the plaques at Town Hall. <br /> `End of Year Budget Requirements <br /> will Wilson will review the budget to see what office supplies are needed. Gail has ordered and <br /> received 500 Human services brochures and is putting the order in for the Thanks for Giving Award <br /> plaques. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Coordinator's Report— Highlights <br /> Attended the Regional nal substance Abuse Advisory Council meeting presentation by Ray Tamasi, <br /> Gsnold CEO, who discussed county initiatives as well as proposed legislation. Thirty people <br /> attended. <br /> - Attended Mashpee Cares meeting on May 29, 2014 where net steps in education and raising <br /> awareness about addiction were topics discussed. <br /> Human Fights Commission is developing a brochure ure focused on Bullying which will incorporate <br /> three "My view" articles which h appearred in the Cape Cod Times. One of those wri ten by Gail Wilson <br /> will be in the brochure. <br /> Submitted a proposal to the Town Manager from the Hoarding Task Force for training for the <br /> Police arra Fire Departments by Maryann Murphy, Professional Organizer. Last training was in <br /> September, 2011. <br /> Laura I tinier, Human services Coordinator for the Town of Scituate, will be attending the July <br /> 2014 meeting of the Human services Committee. This is a new position for the Town of Scituate. <br /> - Attended all-day Strategic Planning Meeting for all 1 las pee department heads, held at Town Hall <br /> in June. <br /> ADDITIONAL TOPICS <br /> 211 Call System. Janice Walford reported that when one goes to the 211 website: the only <br /> agency that comes up when you put in 02649 is the Cape Cod Community Health Center. <br /> * I lashp a Human services Website: still lists the Council on Aging address as Great Neck Road <br /> North. Gail Wilson will update the website as soon as possible. <br /> 2 <br />
