k` <br /> 4 F <br /> Review of Human services contract Amounts and Criteria <br /> Discussion of the contract amounts and criteria will be continued to the next meeting, when data <br /> received by Gail Wilson on the contracts will be reviewed. <br /> * <br /> Coordinator's Report— Highlights <br /> Meeting at St. Vincent DePaul with Cathleen Minh rin and Debbie Journalist on 7/3012014. <br /> -- Human,Fights Commission: Gail Wilson was reappointed for another year. <br /> - Regional Substance Abuse Council meeting.on 8/07/14. Discussion focused on grant for opioid <br /> addiction. <br /> Meeting with Cathy Perry with V Alc pe Cod on 8/12/14: discussion around unmet needs. <br /> - The VNA has made "Emotional Regulation'} a part of their Wellness Program. <br /> - Fuel Assistance program begins Nov. 1, 2014. volunt er training is scheduled for 9/23/14. <br /> - Gail Wilson has begun shredding clinical charts dating back seven years and beyond at Town <br /> Hall. <br /> - Salvation Array would like to attend a Human Services meeting in the fall. <br /> - Predominant Issues: Housing, especially for seniors and young mothers with domestic violence <br /> issues <br /> ADDITIONAL TOPICS <br /> Mary Bradbury, Director of Recreation for the Town of Mashpee, spoke about the relevance of her <br /> membership on the Human Services Committee. AICs. Bradbury stated that she met with Gail <br /> Wilson to discuss the reasoning behind her appointment to the Committee. At the first meeting Ms. <br /> Bradbury attended, she could not see any relation to the Recreation action Department and the focus of <br /> the Human Services Committee. Ms. Bradbury added that 2:00 PM in the afternoon in the <br /> Recreation Department is a very !Hectic time of day, and she was net comfortable vacating the office <br /> t that time. It was suggested to IVIS Bradbury that she appoint a representative from her <br /> department to attend the meetings. Ms.Bradbury stated that she has no other staff member <br /> available to leave the office at 2:00 PM in the.aft rnoon. <br /> Ills. Bradbury added that she felt she had been able to contribute to the discussion at today's <br /> meeting regarding grants, and would plan to attend the future Human Services meetings on a trial <br /> basis. John C h lame reminded the committee that any change in the makeup of the committee <br /> members would need to be approved at.Town Meeting. <br /> NEXT MEETING. <br /> The next meeting was scheduled for Thursday, September 18, 201 4, at 2:00 PM at the Human <br /> Services office. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> As there was no farther business, John Cahlane made a motion that the meeting be adjourned. <br /> Veronica Warden seconded the motion.
