`i
r
r
FALMOUTH ISSUES.
Tori Fudal4 a read a report from Jerry Potamis with an update on how things are going in Falmouth
regarding wastewater treatment projects. Paul Gobell will email to the Commission member
Falmouth's draft articles including Flow Neutral Bylaw, capital recovery plan for wastewater project
a well as potential hone rule petitions to extend betterment treatment period from 20-30 years
and other changes to befterments that may facilitate affordability to users and checker boarding for
ecotoilet .
BA NST'A LE ISSUES,
Jeff Gregg reported his attendance at the recent Barnstable CAC meeting, stating that the focus of
the meeting revolved around the relocation of wells. They brought in someone from the Hyannis
Vater Department and Wet Barnstable, and are looking at risk areas, and have developed a risk
area map.
OTHER ITEMS
Torn Fudala reported that the sewer line from Breezy Acres is being installed up to the High School
treatment plant. That is part of the discussions between the lawyers for the Town and the water
District. The Water District has been concerned with the level of inspections that have been going
on as the construction was proceeding. one of the hang ups with the legislation was the issue of
the district having to tale over the high school and whatever town facilities the minute the
legislation was effected. A separate memorandum agreement process was agreed upon to handle
how things would be transferred, separate from the legislation itself. Tori Fudala stated that the
Vater District cannot take over cold turkey on day one.
Regarding the conflict issue, Torn Fudala stated that'if the Board of Selectmen voted to make
Vater District Commissioners special municipal employees, thea he does not have a problem.
The last information available was that they had, and Mr. Fudala is under the impression that the
issue has been resolved.
NEXT MEETING Thursday, Se pt.1 g, 2013, Ma hpee Town Hall, at : PM.
ADJOURNMENT
NMENT
As there was,no other business, a motion was made by Joe Lyons that the meeting be adjourned.
Glenn Santos seconded the motion.
