Beverly Cane inquired <br /> about what was being done to distribute the brochures. There were 1000 brochures printed. <br /> Suggestions for further distribution of existing brochures included placement at the Mashpee Library <br /> and the Senior Center. Other ideas included a torn nailing, and printing in the Mashpee Enterprise. <br /> It was explained that Regina Villa produces the fliers, but is not responsible for their distribution. <br /> Joe Lyons made a motion that the brochure show up as a Mashpee Enterprise insert, printed by the <br /> Enterprise. Mark Gurnee seconded the motion. Discussion followed regarding payment of the insert. <br /> After discussion, the motion was tabled. Joe Lyons volunteered to distribute fliers to the Senior <br /> Center and the Mashpee Library. <br /> VOUCHER SIGNATURES <br /> -GHD Voucher for$3000. Joe Lyons made a motion that the Commission approve the payment of <br /> the voucher for$3000. Glenn Santos seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously approved. <br /> - Lombardo Associates Voucher for $195. .toe Lyons made a motion that the Commission approve <br /> the payment of the voucher for $195 for attendance at the Oct. 15 th 2013 meeting. Mark Gurnee <br /> seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously approved. <br /> ACTIVITY DEPORT FROM SEWER COMMISSION ADMINISTRATOR — Paul Gobell <br /> Mr. Gobell reported on a meeting in Falmouth on 1/21/13 to discuss a permeable reactive barrier <br /> working group, the shellfish demonstration project update, Buzzards Bay coalition letter, the nitrogen <br /> -law, and a request from the Barnstable County Wastewater Collaborative re: a meeting on Dec. <br /> INTERMUNICIPAL ICIPAL ISSUES <br /> - Mou Negotiations -- No new report. <br /> - Cape Cod Commission <br /> Torn Fudala reported that the December deadline for adoption of local fertilizer regulations on the <br /> Cape has been extended for an extra year through efforts by senator Wolf. The Cape Cod <br /> Commission has agreed that they need to go back to all the towns to wine up with a better draft of <br /> by-law that would be common to all towns on the Cape. The Commission also indicated that the <br /> County Health and Environment Department is looking for finds to play a role in the management of <br /> fertilizers. <br /> - Cape-wide Waste Water 208 Plan <br /> Tom Fudala reported that he had received information from the P pponesset ll quoit subgroup that <br /> they will be scheduling another meeting in the near future. Paul Gobell will determine whether his <br /> budget restrictions will enable him to attend future meetings. <br /> MMR UTILITY PLANNING STATUS <br /> Torn Fudala reported that MMR is putting out an FFP for anyone interested in running the utilities. <br /> The scope of the IFP is to look at all utilities and define ghat existed, and look at options for each of <br /> the electrical, water and wastewater utilities. Paul Gobell stated that the RFP requested a business <br /> plan and a pro formai for assessing the viability of the acquisition and operation of the US Air Force <br /> utility system at.point Base Cape Cod. <br /> STATUS ofWATER/SEWER DISTRICT LEGISLATION <br /> Ton Fudala reported that it was out of the first committee and is moving very quickly through the <br /> House. Mr. Fudala stated that it was quite possible that it would be done in time so that the ballot <br /> 2 <br />
