Plans had been previously approved and Shellfish warden Dick <br /> York had no negative.cor;,ler its. I la felt that the extension actually improved the oppaTtunities.for <br /> shellfish by extending the float out further from shallow waters. <br /> Committee Reports-Received: <br /> Waterway Improvements and Dred in <br /> Ken Bates provided-updates on the Comprehensive plan and the amount of coordination-that was <br /> required, He also mentioned that the dredge pipe,though not intended to remain along the shore of the <br /> south facing beaches, had been left in place and actually has added some protection to the beach during <br /> the recent easterly gales. <br /> Shellfish Constable Re rt: <br /> Rick York gage ars extensive overview of the successful scallop and oyster propagation programs for <br /> 2014. He reported that catches have exceeded expectation this fall. He further reported that <br /> meriCorps"stepped up to the plate"and provided increased support for quahog seed planting. M r. <br /> York also explained some of the details of the State's Comprehensive waste water mitigation plan and <br /> how working with the Town's n's surer commission was necessary in educating everyone on the <br /> advantages of our she IIfish propagation plans.
