Harbormaster Stephen.Mone had mentioned at the association meeting that perhaps doing <br /> array with the restrictions and generating revenue through a permit process would be a better solution, <br /> We could generate revenue as well as maintain control on who was using the desirable location for <br /> family picnicking.Additional discussions were made regarding the Board of Selectman's efforts to limit <br /> boat size on the State Great Pond,.a nd some of the obstacles.they would.face in doing so. Mr. <br /> Richardson reported that Town administer had written the Town of Sandwich seeking support for these <br /> efforts.Al Wickel commented on the recent Mashpee Enterprise editorial commenting on further <br /> reductions in boat size and horsepower usage.Al mentioned that dangerous speeds could be attained <br /> with any size boat and almost any size horsepower. Perhaps the best approach to improving safety on <br /> the la ke was-improving.the assets available t -the Harbormaster to help enforce current laws o n the <br /> lake.
