4 <br /> Mr. singleton announced that there will be training on'June 12th by the head lifeguard for three <br /> additional lifeguards. On June 1 'h there will b -four lifeguards available for duty at the beach. <br /> 1 <br /> HUNTING IN THE PARK <br /> John singleton reported.that he had received n o.rnegative hunting incident reports this past year. <br /> Garry Cardeiro, Leo Wise, and Perry Ellis all submitted statements to the effect that they had been <br /> hunting in the park for many' years, with no adverse incidents occurring, and,urged the commiftee <br /> to approve the hunting privileges for the coring year. <br /> Carey Murphy made a motion that the Committee continue to approve the huntingprivileges at the <br /> South Cape Beach for the corning year. Michael Cardeiro seconded the action. The motion was <br /> approved, with Lewis Newell opposing. <br /> COMMITTEE REORGANIZATION <br /> rnornent of silence was observed by,the Corrrmittee me rn b rs in memory of Frank Connellyt in <br /> honor of his many years of cervi eon the commiftee and his service as Vice Chairman. <br /> Jeri Smith invited the comm ittee members to volunt er-as the commiftee chairman for the conning <br /> year. As there were no volunteers, Ills. Smith agreed to continue as the Committee Chairman. <br /> Michael Cardeiro was asked to serve as the Vice Chairman, and agreed to serge. <br /> Carey Murphy made a motion that the slate of officers for the coming year include Jeralyn Smith as <br /> Chairman, Michael Cardeiro as Vice Chairman. Bill ll arrtiros seconded the motion. The motion <br /> was unanimously approved. <br /> RECOMMENDATION TO FILL VACANCY <br /> Perry Ellis introduced himself to the Committee members. IIIb-. Ellis stated that he has been a <br /> Il ashpee resident for many years, and has served as the Mashpee Harbormaster for many years <br /> as Drell. Mr. E Itis stated that he is very mu h interested ire be craning a member.of the South Cape <br /> Beach State Park Advisory Committee, and requested the Committee's approval'of his <br /> appointment to the ori mittee. <br /> Carey Murphy made a motion that the Committee recommend the Board of Selectmen to approve <br /> Mr. lli 's appointment to the South Cape Beach State Park Advisory Committee. Michael <br /> Cardeiro seconded the motion. The motion eras unanimously approved. <br /> Carey Murphy made a motion that the Committee return to the COMMITTEE REORGANIZATION. <br /> Michael Cardeiro seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously approved. <br /> Carey Murphy made a motion that Ferry Ellis be appointed the Clerk of the Committee, pending <br /> the approval by the Board of Selectmen of the appointment of Mr. Ellis to the South Cape Beach <br /> State Park Advisory Committee. Michael Cardeiro seconded the motion. The motion was <br /> unanimously approved. <br /> Carey Murphy requested that an update on the status of the memorial plaque be added to the <br /> agenda. Wayne,Taylor stated that a motion to add the topic to the agenda would be required_. <br /> Michael Cardeiro made a motion to add the topic of the Memorial Plaque to the agenda. -F bert <br /> Lancaster seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously approved <br /> 2 <br />
