As of right now, there are 3 lifeguards. <br /> The State Park has a new facelift. Snow fences line the path to the beach; ten more rows of new snow fences <br /> are ordered to protect the dunes; there are new trash barrels: two new benches; the handicap area Is redesigned <br /> with two additional handicap spaces making a total of ; John has repainted his shed, painted the fence line going <br /> to the beach; a beach cleaner; the fresh water marsh behind the storage area has been roped off to prevent <br /> people walking on it; an educational sigh will be placed there for public information. $3200 worth of lumber for the <br /> changing houses has been ordered. <br /> The entrance onto south cape Beach corning off Great Check Road has been spruced up and is being redesigned <br /> by Home; John has been soliciting donations from nurseries in and around Falmouth; the 1l aquoit Nursery and <br /> other nurseries in Falmouth have donated plants and perennials. The kiosk at the entrance to the Park has been <br /> repainted. <br /> Lifeguard stands are in; the buoys will be installed June &; the parking lots have been trimmed back r getting <br /> rid of underbrush and eventually the road to the park will be trimmed, as well. Four charcoal galls are ordered. <br /> Mr. Singleton stated that these improvements are being made{possible from a federal budget corning from NOAA. <br /> Jed-Smith voiced concern abort water availability in case of fire. The grills will be framed and stones will be put In <br /> around each one. Cllr. Singleton stated that the park is beginning to look like all the rest of the state parks, trying <br /> to provide as many services to the public as possible-Mr. Singleton reported receiving a donation for a bench, so <br /> that there will be two benches now at the end of th.e boardwalk. The bench that was washed away during <br /> Hurricane Irene will be restored by the family that originally donated it. <br />
