Linnel Grundman and welcomed her as the new Sandwich representative on the <br /> committee, following Lance Lambros who has retired from his appointment to the position. <br /> REVIEW OF MINUTES-9/18112 <br /> Mike Cardeiro made a motion that the minutes from the meeting of 9/18/12 be approved as presented. <br /> Robert Lancaster seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously approved, with Linnel Grundman <br /> abstaining. <br /> BNERR REPORT—Andy DiPasqua <br /> Andy DiPasqua introduced himself to the committee as the 11 BNERR Summertime Beach Supervisor for the <br /> South Cape Beach State Park for the third year, his fourth year on the State Park summertime staff. Mr. <br /> DiPasqua gave the following report: <br /> Dept. of Conservation & Recreation has gone through the park and started to change all their signs, <br /> replacing good signs with metal signs, with the poles to be readjusted in the fall. <br /> 10 to 12 feet of beach was lost to erosion as a result of the winter storms <br /> Mr. DiPasqua informed the committee that there are federal and state grants available to install solar <br /> power for the installation of a well to provide unpotable water for showers at the beach. lir. <br /> DePasqua advised the committee to ensure that the solar power, if installed, is adequate enough to <br /> add a second well down the road, should the committee want to do so. Linnel Grundman stated that <br /> Katherine Garofoli is a grant writer working for the Barnstable county office of Development: phone <br /> office: 508-375-6865. <br /> • Jim Rassman, WBN ERR staff, has had some crews repairing the bridges over the salt park walking <br /> trails <br /> IP Regarding Wills Work Road: Mr. DiPasqua suggested that the Army National Guard has road <br /> construction battalions with heavy equipment that might be available to assist with improving the <br /> accessibility of bills Work Road. <br /> Regarding installation of the boardwalk from the parking lot to the beach: the V1fBNERR staff is <br /> going to get it done, but are looking for volunteiers to assist with the project. The boardwalk will go <br /> 1 <br />
