Barrett made a motion to approve the minutes from July 10"'. Mr. Elliott seconded <br /> the motion* All voted unanimously. <br /> Discussion and Approval of Tipping Fees for F 14 <br /> Chairman Laurent reported that, despite reductions in the FYI 4 budget due to personnel changes, <br /> increased rail fees increased rates from current 17 for commercial and for residential by <br /> approximately in each category. A budget surplus was considered last year but the closeout <br /> was not yet known for the current year. There was agreement that it would be discussed at the <br /> next meeting once the budget surplus was known. <br /> Discussion of Falmouth Board of Health Alternative Disposal Site regulation <br /> Chairman Laurent confirmed that a letter was sent to Falmouth's Board of Health noting that it <br /> appeared haulers licensed in Falmouth were not complying with their regulation. Mr. Elliott <br /> stated that the issue was recently discussed at the Board of Health meeting and felt that the Board <br /> of Health was not responsive. Mr. Elliott referenced numbers acquired from the Bourne landfill <br /> regarding tonnage tipped by Allied, Waste Management and Cavossa but the Board of Health did <br /> not accept the information. W. Elliott felt that nothing was accomplished and noted that an <br /> article had appeared in the paper. Ms. Brazier added that there appeared to be little interest in <br /> questioning the lack of reporting on the part of the haulers. Mr. Barrett recommended caution <br /> regarding the authenticity of figures being reported. Chairman Laurent stated that no official <br /> word had been received from.the Board of Health so she would follow up to inquire further. The <br /> Chair also inquired whether the Board of Selectmen should be notified as it impacted each of the <br /> 1 <br />
